The 2024 Ontario East Municipal Conference (OEMC) is in person only from Wednesday, September 11 to Friday, September 13, 2024 at the Ottawa Conference and Event Centre, providing easy access and great facilities for participants and exhibitors with close proximity to Highway 417 and VIA Rail Ottawa.
OEMC is the most popular, and one of the longest running, annual regional municipal conferences held in eastern Ontario. Each year our speakers, delegates and exhibitors comprise a diverse group of elected officials, economic development professionals, entrepreneurs, municipal service providers, private sector business leaders and provincial and federal partners involved in community economic development.

Jennifer Botterill is one of Canada's most successful athletes. A member of the Canadian Women’s Hockey Team for 14 years, she is a three-time Olympic gold medalist, a five-time World Champion, and twice-named MVP of the World Championships.
Jennifer is an NHL analyst appearing on national networks in both Canada and the United States.
She has been working in the television broadcasting industry for the last 10 years, and currently works with Sportsnet and Hockey Night in Canada, providing analysis for both the regular season and the Stanley Cup Playoffs. The County of Renfrew and Ecostrat are pleased to announce the issue of an investment grade BDO Zone Rating for Woody Biomass. The Zone is centred in Pembroke, Ontario, and is the province’s first ‘AA’ rating for Pulpwood.
Renfrew County’s BDO Zone ‘AA’ rating denotes very high prospective viability of feedstock supply chain and infrastructure, and very low expectations of default risk in the Zone. They indicate very strong ongoing capacity of the region to support new biobased plant operations. The Zone features an ample supply of pulpwood and offers a strategic advantage in transportation costs over most competitors due to close proximity to major sawmill clusters around Pembroke. The Zone predominantly consists of public forests adhering to rigorous certification and strict ecological guidelines, ensuring a sustainable wood supply from certified forests.
