The 2024 Ontario East Municipal Conference (OEMC) is in person only from Wednesday, September 11 to Friday, September 13, 2024 at the Ottawa Conference and Event Centre, providing easy access and great facilities for participants and exhibitors with close proximity to Highway 417 and VIA Rail Ottawa.
OEMC is the most popular, and one of the longest running, annual regional municipal conferences held in eastern Ontario. Each year our speakers, delegates and exhibitors comprise a diverse group of elected officials, economic development professionals, entrepreneurs, municipal service providers, private sector business leaders and provincial and federal partners involved in community economic development.

Ontario East 2024 Annual General Meeting Held in Peterborough
The Ontario East Economic Development Commission (Ontario East) held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on February 1, 2024 at Fleming College in Peterborough.
The meeting was opened with video greetings from Hon. Vic Fedeli, Minister of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade followed by guest speaker His Worship Jeff Leal, Mayor of the City of Peterborough, Chair of the Eastern Ontario Mayors’ Caucus. Mayor Leal updated attendees on economic development priorities and activities and the importance of partnerships with regional organizations like Ontario East.
Directors and Officers were approved by the Members and the Board of Directors, respectively.

In this role, you will play a key part in driving positive change and contributing to the growth of the eastern Ontario economy by providing essential support to our CFEO program team through coordination of member services, events, meetings and program client intake, driving data-driven insights by developing and maintaining dashboards with predictive analytics, contributing to developing recommended program strategies, sourcing prospective program partners, identifying additional funded program opportunities, contributing to the modernization of CFEOs systems and processes, and ensuring compliance with program delivery and reporting requirements.
