The 2024 Ontario East Municipal Conference (OEMC) is in person only from Wednesday, September 11 to Friday, September 13, 2024 at the Ottawa Conference and Event Centre, providing easy access and great facilities for participants and exhibitors with close proximity to Highway 417 and VIA Rail Ottawa.

 

OEMC is the most popular, and one of the longest running, annual regional municipal conferences held in eastern Ontario. Each year our speakers, delegates and exhibitors comprise a diverse group of elected officials, economic development professionals, entrepreneurs, municipal service providers, private sector business leaders and provincial and federal partners involved in community economic development.

Join the Ontario East Regional Marketing Committee Today


Active Ontario East members are invited to join their colleagues on the Regional Marketing Committee (RMC) as we prepare for an active year of regional investment attraction activities in the 2024-2025 operating year.

Ontario East RMC members invest collaboratively to develop regional programming that delivers or augments its members' economic development efforts in domestic or foreign direct investment.

As a regional non-profit agency Ontario East is able to access funds to leverage investment delivering programming value up to more than ten times the membership fee. 


Programming includes online available property listings and data tools, investment promotion and lead generation activities, participation in targeted sector trade shows, investment missions, economic development forums and collaborative pan provincial initiatives.  

Ontario East also engages in special projects to support investment attraction.

WMCO has been successful in securing funding for WMCO to help wood manufacturing members in Ontario make digital integration investments. The available funding is the result of a Government of Canada investment, through the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario (FedDev Ontario).

    Agri-Tech Innovation Initiative to Support Ag Innovation

    Intake Opening!

     

     

    Overview:
    The purpose of the Agri-Tech Innovation Initiative (the Initiative) is to support growth and productivity through innovation, advanced manufacturing, improved food safety and enhanced cyber security, and energy efficiency within the agri-food sector.

     

    The Initiative will be delivered under three streams, as follows:


    Stream 1 – Agri-Tech Innovation (total Eligible Costs per Project less than $100,000)


    Stream 2 – Agri-Tech Innovation (total Eligible Costs per Project $100,000 and greater)


    Stream 3 – Agri-Tech Energy Costs Savings
