At the Ontario East Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Peterborough, we will approve audited financials, and provide an update on Ontario East activities for the past year and plans for the future.
This event is free and open to all Members of the Ontario East Economic Development Commission.
The Rural Economic Development (RED) program intake will open for applications in January 2024. You can find all program information including how to apply on the program’s homepage when the program opens.
Information Sessions
OMAFRA staff will be conducting two public webinars to provide an overview of the RED program and discuss the process for applying to the program.
Please bring your questions as there will be a Q&A period.
The Economic Developers Council of Ontario Annual Conference and Showcase is in Toronto next month and will feature several speakers from the Ontario East team:
President Stephen Paul is on a panel with Invest Ontario "Ask the Expert"
Past-President Chris King, Honourary Life Member Dave Paul and Executive Director Jay Amer will also be presenting a session called "What Have You Done for Me Now? - The Ever Changing Role of the Economic Developer"
Both sessions are scheduled for the afternoon of Wednesday, February 8.

Reporting to Frontenac County Council, the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) will be an established leader with a proven ability to embrace and lead this upper tier municipality.
The CAO’s major responsibility is to oversee and coordinate the day-to-day administration of the County through its department heads.
The CAO will support the Warden and Council, in directing and developing public policy, ensuring that Council has clear, comprehensive, and relevant information to make well informed decisions.
