          Rural Ontario Development (ROD) Program Now Accepting Applications


          The Rural Ontario Development (ROD) program is now accepting applications until February 26, 2026, the second intake opening was announced at the Rural Ontario Municipal Association (ROMA) conference, with program guidelines and applications available at www.ontario.ca/RODprogram.  This program has eligible applicants of rural municipalities, small brick and mortar businesses (1 – 20 employees), Indigenous groups and not-for-profit organizations

           

          An Information Session will be taking place on February 12, providing an opportunity to learn more about the ROD program Business Development and Community Development streams.  Additionally, one on one coaching sessions are available to support applications. 

           

          Please consider promoting the ROD program to the small businesses in your community, and if your organization is considering an application for the Community Development stream, please attend the Info Session and then book an application coaching call with a regional advisor to help navigate the application process.

          We are pleased to share the first installment of a new video series "Ontario East Matters" that features members of the Ontario East Regional Marketing Committee (RMC) highlighting their communities assets and profile for attracting and supporting investment. The series is made possible through a partnership with YourTV on COGECO. The interviews are hosted by executive director Jay Amer who is a long time volunteer host on his local YourTV channel.
