Auto and Advanced Manufacturing Industry Workforce Consultation Session for Eastern Ontario Region (Webinar)

The automotive and advanced manufacturing sector in Canada is rapidly changing, and so is the labour force and skills requirements, as the industry transitions towards electrification and a decarbonized economy.
As an industry stakeholder, you are being invited to attend the upcoming Industry Consultation webinar on June 28, 2023, focusing on the Eastern Ontario Region, which includes the Ottawa, Kingston-Pembroke, and Muskoka-Kawarthas Economic Regions.

Reporting to the Manager, Business Advisory Centre (BAC), the Business Advisory Centre Coordinator provides administrative support to the BAC which is one of 54 Small Business Enterprise Centres in Ontario funded by the Ministry of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade (MEDJCT).
Services, consultations, tools and resources are offered free of charge in order to help start-ups and small businesses grow and succeed within the region.
New Facility in Ingleside A Sign of Success and Growth for
Wills Transfer Ltd.
Welcomed with open arms by the local municipality, logistics and warehousing firm Wills Transfer Ltd. recently opened its new $25 million, 155,000 square foot facility in Ingleside, ON, ushering in a new era of expansion for the nearly 70-year-old company.
At its official opening on May 2, besides local media and neighbours, company co-owner Terry Wills, wife Heather and son Jordi, who has stepped up to take on a leadership role within the organization invited more than 200 representatives of government, vendors, fellow trucking, and logistics companies as well as current and prospective customers.
The show of support was a bold statement as to the importance of partnerships and the interconnected and co-operative nature of business in the 21st century in Eastern Ontario.
