The Virtual Job Fairs Eastern Ontario Project (VJF East) is an ongoing project that is totally free of cost for organizations and employers to access. This project, funded by the Ministry of Labour, Training and Skills Development and led by the Centre for Workforce Development, was initiated in 2021 to assist Employment Ontario Employment Service (EOES) Providers with:
The VJF East Project was extended on March 31 and is ongoing until September 25th of 2022. To date, the Project had successfully connected 304 employers with 1875 job seekers during a total of 30 virtual job fairs.

Smith Falls: Water Treatment Plant Development RFP
Deadline Extended
The Town of Smiths Falls will be seeking proposals for redevelopment concepts that will see the revitalization of the former Water Treatment Plant at 25 Old Mill Road, a key municipal waterfront property.
The water treatment plant property is a pivotal Smiths Falls location overlooking the Rideau Canal and Centennial Park, and within walking distance of the downtown core.
The redevelopment of this property will transform the area and seamlessly connect the downtown core to public park spaces on the beautiful Rideau Canal waterway.
The tender opened March 14, 2022 and now closes on Friday, June 17, 2022 at noon.
