Ontario East Municipal Conference 2023

The 2023 Ontario East Municipal Conference (OEMC) is in person only from Wednesday, September 6 to Friday, September 8, 2023 at the Ottawa Conference and Event Centre, providing easy access and great facilities for participants and exhibitors with close proximity to Highway 417 and VIA Rail Ottawa.

The Ontario East Economic Development Commission presents the conference with a goal of providing relevant, dynamic programming and opportunities to share knowledge and best practices to enhance economic opportunities and successes, along with many opportunities for networking and a lot fun! With three streams (Economic Development, Municipal & Community Development and Workforce Development), we will have another great line-up of sessions of interest for all our delegates.

We look forward to seeing you all again soon!

Position: Marketing and Communications Officer (Tourism Sector)

POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the Director of Marketing & Communications, the Marketing & Communications Officer will develop and implement strategies to position Peterborough & the Kawarthas as a destination of choice for visitors, business and investors.

This position will promote and support tourism and economic development programs and initiatives to stakeholders, media outlets, and the public at a regional, provincial, national and global level.
The expected outcomes of this role are to build strong working relationships with media to gain positive coverage of PKED initiatives and to foster greater community awareness with the goal of increasing visitation to the region and participation in PKED programs and events.
