Ontario East will host its next Quarterly Meeting in Lindsay, ON on Friday, June 2, 2023.  

The updated agenda is full with speakers on economic development programs and other issues of interest to our members and guests, from Invest Ontario, OCI, CN Rail, FedDev Ontario, Horizon Aircraft and more. Also included is a showcase of Kawartha Lakes companies: Pinnguaq, Make Stuff Move and Fleming College Agriculture Equipment Simulator.

Judy Croon is Canada’s Keynote Humourist, A TEDx Speaker, comedian, motivational speaker, Second City stand-up coach, radio host and author. She has been the opening act for many celebrities including; Joan Rivers, John Cleese, John Stewart, Lewis Black and Robert Klein. Her specials have appeared on NBC, CBS, CTV and The Comedy Network.

The 2023 Ontario East Municipal Conference (OEMC) is in person only from Wednesday, September 6 to Friday, September 8, 2023 at the Ottawa Conference and Event Centre, providing easy access and great facilities for participants and exhibitors with close proximity to Highway 417 and VIA Rail Ottawa.

The Ontario East Economic Development Commission presents the conference with a goal of providing relevant, dynamic programming and opportunities to share knowledge and best practices to enhance economic opportunities and successes, along with many opportunities for networking and a lot fun! With three streams (Economic Development, Municipal & Community Development and Workforce Development), we will have another great line-up of sessions of interest for all our delegates.

Position: Tourism Coordinator

Application Deadline: by 11:59pm on May 19, 2023. 

Purpose & Scope of Position:

Reporting to the Manager of Economic Development and Tourism Services, the Tourism Coordinator will assist in the delivery of the various tourism projects and initiatives to support the divisional work plan.

It will include assisting in the promotion and development of the municipality’s tourism portfolio through tourism attraction activities, product development and promotional opportunities.
