The 2024 Ontario East Municipal Conference (OEMC) is in person only from Wednesday, September 11 to Friday, September 13, 2024 at the Ottawa Conference and Event Centre, providing easy access and great facilities for participants and exhibitors with close proximity to Highway 417 and VIA Rail Ottawa.
OEMC is the most popular, and one of the longest running, annual regional municipal conferences held in eastern Ontario. Each year our speakers, delegates and exhibitors comprise a diverse group of elected officials, economic development professionals, entrepreneurs, municipal service providers, private sector business leaders and provincial and federal partners involved in community economic development.
Jennifer Botterill, three-time Olympic Gold Medallist, will join OEMC on Wednesday, September 11th.
Jennifer Botterill is one of Canada's most successful athletes. A member of the Canadian Women’s Hockey Team for 14 years, she is a three-time Olympic gold medalist, a five-time World Champion, and twice-named MVP of the World Championships.
Jennifer is an NHL analyst appearing on national networks in both Canada and the United States.
She has been working in the television broadcasting industry for the last 10 years, and currently works with Sportsnet and Hockey Night in Canada, providing analysis for both the regular season and the Stanley Cup Playoffs. In the United States, Jennifer works for Warner Media NHL on TNT for their NHL coverage.

Hastings County has an opening for one (1) permanent full time Tourism Development Coordinator position.
Reporting to the Economic and Tourism Development Manager, the Tourism Development Coordinator’s prime function is to work closely with member municipalities, local accommodators and attractions to facilitate the development and expansion of tourism opportunities (experiences and products) with the objective of enticing visitors to stay longer, enhance their economic impact and identify Hastings County as a desirable destination to relocate to and invest in.
