A month to: • celebrate the impact manufacturing has on our local, provincial, and national economy • get more young people and job seekers interested in manufacturing careers
Why should you care about Manufacturing Month?
Because: • manufacturing is the backbone of not only eastern Ontario's economy, but also Canada's as a whole • choosing to buy locally made products and support local manufacturing businesses invests in our economy - keeping jobs local • manufacturing has an undeserved bad reputation in Canada: it's actually an innovative, technology driven sector with many opportunities for growth and stability
