Ontario East Municipal Conference 2023

Wednesday, September 6 to Friday, September 8, 2023

at the Ottawa Conference and Event Centre

Thank you to all of our delegates, sponsors and speakers for contributing to a very successful Ontario East Municipal Conference in Ottawa last week. The Ottawa Conference & Event Centre provided an excellent venue and accommodations and we look forward to returning there in 2024 (September 11-13).

Congratulations to the Ontario East EDO of the Year, Vicki Bristow Ferguson, Quinte Economic Development Commission for this well deserved recognition.

Many thanks to our conference managers Megan Howes and Penny Waddington and the Events & Management Plus team for ensuring it was one of our most successful conferences with over 400 attendees. 

Session presentations and photos will be posted to the website in the near future.

This year’s Teeny Tiny Summit theme is “Creating Community Wealth and Well-Being” is being held on September 26 at 9:30 am virtually with the guest speaker Peter Kenyon from the Bank of Ideas.

Teeny Tiny Summits share practical examples, lessons learned and community economic development tactics.  The Rural Ontario Municipal Association (ROMA) has committed to multi-year support of the Teeny Tiny program. Since inception, the summits have been hosted in every region of the province as well as virtually and attracted over 2400 attendees.
